Cleaning your Bike
1
Apply a bike cleaning spray over the bike, allow time for the spray to break down the dirt on the bike. After a couple of minutes work the cleaner around the bike with a soft bristled brush.
2
Using a water and bike cleaner mixture, brush the bike until clean and free of any unwanted dirt. A ideal brush set can be purchased on the Planet X website for cleaning between cassette teeth and in hard to reach areas.
3
Once the bike is clean, dry using a microfiber cloth to absorb all the water residue.
Put the bike in a work stand and degrease the drive train using a spray on degreaser.
4
Once the drive train is clean, use a cloth to remove and excess degreaser.
5
Apply a fresh coat of chain lube to all contact parts on the chain, mech and cassette.
Also spray all bolts with a water displacement spray (GT-85) this will stop any surface rust forming on steel parts of the bike.
