Sram Brake BleedUpdated 7 months ago

Clean bike down, remove front wheel insert brake pad or bleed spacer to caliper.

pull the lever hood back to uncover the bleed port screw.

Using a T10 remove the bleed port screw and insert a syringe with 15ml of DOT5.1 brake fluid.

Remove the bleed port screw from the caliper and insert a syringe with 5ml of DOT5.1ml brake fluid.

Starting at the shifter, push the fluid through to the caliper slowly, using about 10ml of the brake fluid will be enough to pass through the system and remove any air from the caliper. Repeat pushing fluid from the caliper back through to the lever.

Remove the syringe from the caliper. Using the hose lock on your bleed kit, close off the syringe. Pull the syringe handle up, this will de-gas the syringe and pull the air bubbles to the top stopping them moving back into the brake system.

To pressurise the system, remove the hose clamp, and apply pressure to the syringe. The reattach the clamp and remove the syringe. Refit the bleed port screw. Align the caliper with the disc.
